Overview

Join us for an engaging preconference symposium designed to raise awareness about T1D risk screening among healthcare professionals caring for people with diabetes. This session will provide the latest updates from the Canadian Population Screening for Risk of Type 1 Diabetes (CanScreen T1D) research consortium and explore the potential for preventing T1D through early detection and intervention.

This event is especially relevant for allied health professionals including certified diabetes educators, registered nurses, registered dietitians, pharmacists, and physicians (general practitioners, endocrinologists, and diabetes specialists).

Why Attend?

  • Understand the importance of screening for preclinical T1D and its role in preventing diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA).
  • Learn about current and emerging disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) in T1D clinical research.
  • Hear patient and family perspectives on screening acceptability and educational needs.
