This webinar is hosted by the Alliance for Healthier Communities and presented by the CanScreenT1D Research Consortium.
Can we screen children across Canada for risk of Type 1 Diabetes (T1D)? Research is underway. As primary health care professionals, your insights are essential in helping to shape this research. Join this webinar for an exciting exploration of The Canadian Population Screening for Risk of Type 1 Diabetes (CanScreen T1D), a national research consortium focused on shaping the future of T1D screening in Canada.
A series of CanScreen T1D research projects will explore the acceptability and feasibility of T1D screening for children in Canada. In 2026, a pilot T1D screening program will be launched to generate critical evidence that will help to inform future policy decisions and begin to map the essential steps for nationwide implementation.
Let’s exchange ideas, collaborate, and discuss the future of T1D screening in Canada.
Presenters:
- Tayler Brown: Community Engagement & EDI/SGBA+ Lead for the CanScreen T1D Research Consortium, The Hospital for Sick Children.
