On November 25, 2025, the CanScreen T1D research consortium team, along with representatives from the Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR), Breakthrough T1D, and other partner organizations, will come together, in person at The Hospital for Sick Children and virtually, for the CanScreen T1D Midterm Meeting.
This important event will feature presentations and panel discussions highlighting:
- Updates from consortium-led research projects
- Progress on planning the pilot Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) screening program
- Strategies to recruit children from the general population
- Data and biosample governance, with a focus on Indigenous Data Sovereignty
The Midterm Meeting serves as a key moment to celebrate our collective efforts, strengthen collaboration across teams, foster transparency, and shape our next steps in building a more inclusive and impactful pilot T1D screening program.
